Claire E. Dineen
Claire E. Dineen is a founding member of the firm who works closely with you and your family, public and private benefits providers, professional services providers, fiduciaries and charitable organizations to make sure that your Estate Plan meets your unique personal and financial objectives.
Claire helps individuals who have legal questions in the areas of estate planning, gifts, guardianship, health care advance directives, litigation and general practice, Medicaid, Medicare, personal injury settlements, powers of attorney, probate, social security disability, taxes, trusts, wills and workers’ compensation settlements.
Claire is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and of the elder law advisory board of the University of Denver College of Law.
She is active in the Denver/Colorado Bar Association, where she is a member and former co-chair of the legal problems of the elderly forum committee. She is a member of the trust and estate section and participated in its statutory revision sub-committee on adoption of the Colorado Uniform Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Act.
Before becoming a lawyer, Claire was a health educator and registered dietitian for private industry as well as federal health-promotion programs. As a lawyer, she has volunteered her services at the Indian Law Center in Boulder, Colorado, Law Line 9 and Craig Hospital. She has worked with the Older Women League’s Save Our Seniors committee to adopt spousal protections laws for home- and community-based Medicaid recipients.
Claire holds a law degree from The American University, Washington College of Law (Washington, D.C.) and a master’s degree in health fitness management from The American University (Washington, D.C). Her undergraduate degree in nutrition is from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania.
